The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce that Stephen Enright, Head Coach of The University of Alberta, Augustana Vikings Women's Volleyball team has been selected by his coaching peers as the 2021-22 ACAC Women's Volleyball Coach of the Year for the North Division.

In just his second full season as head coach, Enright has built a culture of success as he earned back-to-back Coach of the Year awards. Enright earned his first Coach of the Year honours following the 2019-20 season when he shared the award with Lakeland Rustlers Head Coach, Austin Dyer.

"The time and effort Steve has put into creating a better and stronger program and team culture not only in season but during the off-season as well, is one of the many reasons the team has found so much success under his leadership," says Aly Andersen, Vikings Athletics Administrator. "He has brought the motto of 'good people, make great Vikings' to the team and leads by example of that every day."

Coaching the Vikings for a total of seven years, three as head coach (2019-current) and four as an assistant coach (2015-19) of the program, he has been able to lead the team to some of the most successful Vikings Women's Volleyball seasons to date, creating a powerhouse program within the ACAC. This season, Enright helped the team to a 12-4 record, placing second in the north and earning a bye to the semi-final.

"Steve Enright is well-deserving of this recognition as the ACAC North Division Coach of the Year," says Randal Nickel, Executive Director of Student Life at Augustana Campus. "Steve demonstrates a passion for sport and student-athlete success and Vikings Athletics is better because of his great work."

This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2022 ACAC Women's Volleyball Championship hosted by Red Deer Polytechnic in Red Deer, AB. He will be joined by All-Conference team student-athletes, Shae Boyes, DJ Molle and Sarah Dedrick.
