CAMROSE, AB – Following a dominant weekend sweep over the Portage Voyageurs, Dayvan Bull has been named this week’s Viking Athlete of the Week for his standout performance on the blue line.
Bull played a key role in both victories, contributing offensively and defensively in crucial moments. On Friday night, he recorded an assist in an overtime win, helping the Vikings secure a hard-fought victory. He followed that performance with a goal on Saturday as the Vikings earned a convincing 6–2 road win to complete the sweep.
Now in his second season with the program, Bull has quickly established himself as one of the Vikings’ top defensemen. His consistency, composure, and ability to contribute at both ends of the ice have made him a reliable presence on the back end. As the Vikings move into the second half of the season, Bull’s continued development and leadership will be an important factor in the team’s pursuit of success.
The Vikings will look to build on their strong start when they face the Red Deer Kings, opening the series at home with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop before heading on the road Saturday for another 7:00 p.m. start.
