Sarah is from Cochrane, Alberta and is in her second year studying a BA of environmental studies in the outdoor education stream here at Augustana, in hopes of working or teaching in the great outdoors. As a returning skier, Sarah’s goal is to race this season and simply have a good time.
Sarah was the recipient of the Nahanni River Adventures award of 2019.
When Sarah is not on the ski trails you can find her taking pictures for the Dagligtale school newspaper, working as an RA on campus, and hoping to continue traveling the world after spending 2 months in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador this past summer. Her favourite book at the moment is ‘Searching for stars on an Island in Main’ by Alan Lightman, and her TV show is ‘That 70s Show’, and her favourite foods are sushi and chocolate, but maybe not together.
One of her favourite quotes is ‘When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will be at peace’ -Jimi Hendrix
Sarah is supported by her parents, Lynne and Kirk, brother, Shane, as well as her friends.
