|Title:||Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball|
Hailing from Strathmore, Alberta coach Rachel Warrack joined the Vikings staff in the summer of 2015. After graduating from the Augustana Campus (BSc Phys Ed ’15) she began her career as a member of the Female Apprentice Coaching Program and received some national media coverage for her choice to join the men’s program as an assistant coach. Coach Warrack is working through her NCCP certification requirements and would like to one day be a mentor for female student-athletes in her community. “Having a strong, positive female role model was a large part of my basketball life growing up and I would like to become the type of female coach that athletes learn from and respect,” said Warrack.
In her 5-year playing career here at Augustana she distinguished herself as a feisty, take-no-nonsense competitor and teammate, leading the team through one of it’s most successful 5-year runs. These traits are evident in her coaching style with the men’s program as she handles post coaching and game-day bench management roles.
Recently married, Rachel is pursuing a career in respiratory therapy while working with the basketball program.
